While not a yogi, Silver says the natural flow of this painting conjured up the peaceful greeting familiar to those who are. Sanskrit for “I bow to you”—overused and overflowing—it nevertheless speaks to the expression’s positive side: relaxing, exotic, sun-drenched and powerful. Against a neutral ground, splotches of sunshine tipped in red speaking a language of their own revel in wellness.
